A word from our
Associational Missionary...
Dear Houston Baptist Association,
I want to thank you for all of the support you have given me while I have been your associational missionary. God has truly blessed the work here the last few years and the future is bright.
June was a very busy month as Houston Camp. It was stirring with many campers, many children, and youth. These camps are vital to this Association and to our churches. There were souls saved in each camp and young people who made some life changing decisions that will effect eternity. I want to thank Happi Keenan and Matt Stephens for their hard work and their willingness to make a difference in the lives of our youth and children.
I was able to go to the Southern Baptist Convention this year and I saw a renewed passion in our Convention for lost souls. Several months ago God revealed to me that we don’t have time to waste in reaching a lost world. In my life it has given me a new perspective and interest in the lives of those who don’t know Jesus Christ. I praise God that our Convention is having this same interest, In my years of attending preaching conferences I have never heard more passionate preaching for the sake of the Great Commission that our Savior has mandated for us to do. Please pray for Johnny Hunt, the President of the Convention, as he leads us.
There have been tremendous results turned in for VBS and the work that is going on. Please continue to pray for those who have July VBS’s and for the follow up for those who have attended and made decisions for the Kingdom.
God Bless You and I pray that we all will be in the will of God.
