HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We are beginning a brand new year and it is always exciting as we anticipate what may happen in 2009. The year 2008 was certainly eventful for our nation, our association, and for me personally. The Nation has gone through the worst economic times in recent history and it does not seem to be ending anytime soon. We have a new president of whom we are obligated by the Word of God to pray for and to offer support. We have seen a tremendous turn from Godly values to worldly desires and these are just a few things. In the Association, we saw the restarting of New Harvest Church, we have had record giving and we have been able to expand the ministries in our area. I began last year on a tremendous mission trip to Moldova along with 25 others and we saw God work in miraculous ways. I went through the toughest trial of my life with my sickness and surgery and I saw God at work as He allowed me to recover and I feel great.
What will 2009 offer for us? We don’t know and we don’t need to know. We need to remember that God is on His throne and He IS in charge of the world. We know that He still loves us with an everlasting love and that He will never leave us or forsake us. We know that in His perfect timing He is coming again to take His church with Him and we who know Him and we will be with Him forever. I guess that His truth is all we need to know.
May God Bless You and may Jesus be the Lord of your life.
